I worked at the largest ad agency at the time (the subject of another post) and a guy says to me on the elevator who was there for ad buys...do you mind if I take a Polroid because I'm the publisher of this lifestyle magazine and you'd be perfect for the cover. Skip to 3 years later, very randomly I met someone, fell in love and it turns out he was the dork who didn't think I was pretty enough for the cover.
